‘Inside Edition’ should change its name to ‘Inside Sensationalized Crap’
HAULED AWAY Imagine a police officer coming aboard a school bus and hauling off a student who says she's done nothing wrong! As Inside Edition reports that's exactly what happened in Florida, and it was caught on tape.
On 11/29/05, Inside Edition ran a story that a policeman in Florida stopped a school bus and hauled off a 13-year-old girl who “didn’t do anything.” They also showed a few moments of video proving their point. Of course, in typical IE fashion, they cut the video to the point where the cop hauled her off the bus, ignoring the all-important video BEFORE that point to see what the girl said and/or did to the policeman. It turned out someone on that bus threw a golfball out one of the windows while they were on a highway, hitting another vehicle’s windshield. The policeman stopped the bus and yelled at the kids (understandably) and then the trouble started. There is no way this girl just politely said “I didn’t do it” but IE will never tell anyone that. We’ll have to wait until the entire video is posted somewhere else, just like another video IE aired showing a school bus driver beating a child on a bus. They never showed the whole video, and when I saw it, I realized the kid was cursing like a drunken sailor at the driver and needed a good beating. I guess IE’s position is that kids who recklessly endanger other people shouldn’t be punished as long as they say they “didn’t do anything.”
